Jeb Struder, Ph.D., CSCS
Postdoctoral Research Associate, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Jeb Struder is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Cardiometabolic Laboratory and Exercise Oncology Research Laboratory at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a wet bench researcher, assisting in the investigation of cellular and molecular responses associated with immunometabolic stress responses observed with physical inactivity within a variety of diseased populations (e.g., cancer, cardiometabolic syndrome, and diabetes). His goal is to develop a research line focused on the exacerbated immunometabolic stress response of physically inactive individuals when exposed to different internal or external stressors while investigating potential interventions to limit health risks within this group of interest.
Struder received a doctoral degree from the University of Connecticut in Exercise Science and served as the Director of Research for the Korey Stringer Institute while collaborating with the ECLee Lab. He earned a B.S. in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Nutritional Sciences from East Carolina University and M.S. in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
He has been a sports performance specialist with both Spartan Performance Clinic of Michigan State University and a
