Jill Sarm

Director of Sports Safety


Jill Sarm joined KSI in the spring of 2025 as she pursues her PhD in Kinesiology while serving as an athletic trainer for the Capitol Region Education Council schools and graduate research assistant at KSI. She received her Master of Science from West Virginia University in 2019 while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. She graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and double minored in exercise science and athletic coaching.  

Jill spent 6 seasons with the Elon University football program and other varsity athletic teams, ultimately serving as the head football athletic trainer. She served on the North Carolina Board of Athletic Trainer Examiners and as a preceptor for multiple athletic training programs and practicum students. Jill is certified in dry needling (DN1 and DN2), Graston Technique M1, and a NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist. She is an American Heart Association BLS CPR/First Aid Instructor and a licensed athletic trainer in North Carolina and Connecticut. She is interested in research surrounding sudden death prevention, emergency management, and athletic training regulation.
